1. Step 1. List every exchange account (Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Binance US, etc.) — email, username, account ID, rough holdings

2. Step 2. List every self-custodied wallet — device type (Ledger, Trezor, software wallet), chain, approximate holdings

3. Step 3. Document seed-phrase custody — where the seed is stored, who has access, and how it gets reconstructed

4. Step 4. Document 2FA devices and backup codes — phone, authenticator app, hardware key (YubiKey) location, SMS fallback

5. Step 5. Document email and password-manager access — master password custody, recovery contacts, break-glass procedure

6. Step 6. Title custodial accounts in the name of your revocable living trust where the exchange permits it

7. Step 7. Name a digital fiduciary in your estate plan with specific authority under Texas Estates Code Chapter 2001

8. Step 8. Provide a successor-trustee instruction sheet — what each wallet is, how to access it, what to do first

9. Step 9. Document cost basis and acquisition date for every significant position for step-up-in-basis planning at death

10. Step 10. List on-chain business assets — DAO treasuries, multisig signatures, NFT collections, staked validator nodes

11. Step 11. Identify which assets should be converted or simplified before death to reduce executor burden

12. Step 12. Review and re-sign this inventory annually, or whenever holdings or custody arrangements change materially
